Ramaphosa tells 2024 matrics “You’ve got this” in video message

• President Cyril Ramaphosa has issued a good luck message to all matric writing today, the beginning of the 2024 Matric Exams.
• Over 882 000 Matrics will be writing the National Senior Certificate (NSC) Exams this year.
• The class of 2024 entered high school at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Today, over 882 000 matric students across South Africa are sitting to write the first of the 2024 end-year exams, with the Department of Basic Education and its Minister Siviwe Gwarube saying that schools around the country are more than ready to administer the exams.

Education assurance body Umalusi said last week, that while some issues were spotted, South African learners across the nation would begin writing with a well-prepared exam system at their backs.

Meanwhile, to add a little bit of extra motivation, President Cyril Ramaphosa issued a video message on Monday, wishing all matric the best as they begin the 2024 exams.
