Robertson County Republicans welcome border czar [Video]

The Republicans of Robertson County will host incoming border czar Tom Homan for a two-night speaking engagement Jan. 6-7. The event will be held at the Pridgeon Center at 351 Cooks Lane in Franklin.

Homan has been nominated by President-elect Donald Trump to be the next border czar, who is tasked with providing the president with information on the borders and immigration.

In Trump’s first administration, Homan was named acting director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in January 2017. Homan became full-time director of ICE in November 2017 and held that post until retiring in June 2018. Since then, Homan has become a contributor to Fox News and a public speaker.
