Russia Accused of Plotting Airline Attacks [Video]

In a story which belongs in the plot of a Bond movie rather than the global stage, Polish PM Donald Tusk has accused Russia of orchestrating a terror campaign targeting global airlines.

Allegations include jamming GPS signals, smuggling explosive devices onto cargo flights and numerous terror plots.

Politico reports that during a recent meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Tusk stated, “I can only confirm that Russia planned acts of air terror, not just against Poland but against airlines across the globe.”

According to the New York Times, U.S. intelligence agencies have issued warnings detailing alleged intentions by Russian operatives to smuggle incendiary devices on cargo flights headed for the United States.

Suspected sabotage, including Russian schemes aimed at cargo planes, are seen by Western officials as part of a growing hybrid warfarecampaign by Russia against Ukraine’s allies.
