Russia launched a major missile strike on Ukraine in the early hours of December 25, targeting the country’s energy facilities and other civilian infrastructure, Ukrainian officials said.

At least three people were wounded in the northeastern region of Kharkiv, which was attacked by Russian ballistic missiles, according to Ukrainian authorities.
Regional governor Oleh Syniehubov also reported “damages to civilian non-residential infrastructure” in Kharkiv.
The region’s capital — the city of Kharkiv — came “under a massive missile attack,” Mayor Ihor Terekhov said on the Telegram social media platform.
