Kyiv,Ukraine – Christmas Day brought a wave of terror to Ukraine as Russia unleashed a barrage of missiles and drones,plunging much of the country into darkness. This brutal assault, the 13th of its kind this year targeting Ukraine’s power grid, left millions facing freezing temperatures and widespread blackouts during the holiday season.

“Putin chose Christmas to attack. What could be more inhumane?” Ukrainian President volodymyr Zelenskyy wrote on X, formerly Twitter, condemning the attack.He reported that Russia launched over 70 missiles, including ballistic missiles, and more then 100 drones aimed at crippling Ukraine’s energy infrastructure.

The attacks began on Christmas Eve with a barrage of drones,followed by a wave of missile strikes early Christmas morning. Explosions rocked major cities across the country, including Kharkiv, dnipro, Kremenchuk, Kryvyi Rih, and the western city of Ivano-Frankivsk.
