Angus Wright, Oliver Furness and Sandy Renwick have been awarded the coveted John Macphail Rugby Scholarship for 2025, following in the footsteps of Scotland internationalists, and marking 20 years since the initiative’s inception.
The three highly- rated 18- year-olds will spend five months immersed in South Africa’s renowned rugby culture at the high-performance training facility at Stellenbosch University from the end of January.
