Slip, slide, and skate into fun at Anchorage’s downtown ice rink | Arts & Entertainment [Video]

It is all about ice, ice and more ice baby. There is ice rink in downtown Anchorage at the Townsquare Park.

“So, part of our New Year’s resolution for Parks and Rec was to make it a little bit more fun down here. It’s still work in progress. but it is a lot of fun,” stated Ellen Devine, Community Engagement Coordinator with Anchorage Parks and Recreation. 

Although no people were there on the ice when we went, Anchorage Parks and Recreation believe the ice rink to be beneficial to all including visitors.

“If you think about it, downtown. This is where all our tourists come in. You know, it’s one of the first places they see here in Anchorage. And so, we want to make sure that we have something fabulous for them to get to experience,” emphasized Devine.
