Starbucks again changes with the times [Video]

Starbucks is changing with the times. Again.

This week’s Working Lunch government and politics podcast, from the public affairs firm Align Public Strategies, features a discussion on the coffee shop chain’s new “code of conduct,” which only allows paying customers to use the facilities—be they privies or seating.

Align’s Joe Kefauver and Franklin Coley discuss whether Starbucks is protecting employees or responding to political winds. Or both.

They also talk about portable benefits, an issue that appears to be here to stay. DoorDash recently struck a deal with the state of Georgia to pilot such a program there. They discuss whether this is an issue the industry should engage in.
