Storms, climate change and the transformation of international order

Dr Nicholas Michelsen’s research explores changes in international order, with a focus on the rise of reactionary internationalism and on the impacts of climate change.

Nicholas is Principal Investigator on the Economics and Social Research Council funded project The International Relations of Tropical Storms in the Caribbean, a collaboration between King’s, the University of the West Indies, the UN World Metereological Organisation and the Caribbean Metereological Organisation.

In his talk, Nicholas discusses how studying storms and climate change can bring new thinking about international cooperation.
