Tanger Asheville offering holiday deals while supporting local artists [Video]

ASHEVILLE, N.C. (FOX Carolina) – With the official start to holiday shopping in full swing, Tanger Asheville is offering shoppers the perfect way to find big brand deals, while supporting local artists displaced by Helene.

There was bumper to bumper traffic as people flocked to the outlets and braved lines at store doors for Black Friday’s best bargains.

“I’m here to find some sweet deals and a new sweatshirt,” one shopper said.

Megan Thorp, marketing director for Tanger Asheville, said stores weren’t sure what to expect this holiday season, more than two months after Helene hit the area.

“But our expectations have been blown just seeing the amount of traffic we have seen today. It’s showing the resiliency of the community,” Thorp said.
