Residents of Novi Sad cheered as hundreds of students completed a nearly 80-kilometer walk from Belgrade on January 31. It was the culmination of months of protests after the deadly collapse of the roof of a train station in Novi Sad, followed by a campaign of arrests and attacks targeting the protesters. Students say they plan to continue their protests by blockading key bridges in the city.
