Temple, TX: High School media students gain real-world experience [Video]

TEMPLE, Texas — High school students at Temple High School are stepping into the professional world of media production by creating a commercial for a local podcast, Randomness with Heath and Josh. 

The project is giving students hands-on experience while preparing them for future careers in the entertainment industry.

6 News reporter Sydney Dishon took a behind-the-scenes look at the production process, which is being led by the school’s Audio Video Production class. Students are capturing, producing and editing content as part of their coursework, gaining real-world skills along the way.

“It’s been my passion since I was little,” said Lee Thaxton, reflecting on his journey from middle school vlogging to now working on a professional production.
