In the first of our 12 part series, Gibson CEO Cesar Gueikian starts building a brand new Les Paul from scratch. With Master Luthier Jim DeCola and our incredible craftsmen and women at the Gibson craftory, Cesar and Jim will take you through the art and science of building one of the most iconic guitars in the world, with a few customizations!
From selecting the top to binding, sanding and finishing, we’ll take you through the entire process of building the CEO 1. Along the way you’ll get to see the craftsmanship, tradition and innovation that makes Gibson guitars legendary.
In Episode 1 we start with the very first step: selecting the top. But that’s just the beginning! Each episode will reveal a new chapter in the process, from neck selection and fingerboard fitting to the moment of truth when color is applied and the guitar comes to life. Stay tuned to see the details and surprises along the way!
