This supermarket just got King Charles’ seal of approval for unexpected reason [Video]

It’s no secret that King Charles doesn’t do his own weekly shop – but if he did, he’d likely be heading down to Waitrose.

The monarch granted the retailer the Royal Warrant of Appointment to be Grocers and Wine & Spirit Merchants to the Royal Household earlier this year, so it’s fair to say he likes the posh supermarket.

However, his majesty recently revealed he’s a big fan of a surprising feature in another UK supermarket chain.

During a visit to St Peter’s Church in Notting Hill on December 4, he met with volunteers and supporters of the Disasters Emergency Committee. Among the guests were a group of Morrisons workers to whom the king praised the Market Street meat counter.

King Charles, 76, said: ‘I’m so glad Morrisons still have a butchery counter. No one else does.’

The comment seemed to delight the retailer’s employees who said they would share his feedback with HQ, however online …
