TIFFIN, Ohio — Tiffin police arrested a man Thursday morning following an investigation into sharing child sexual abuse material.
According to a social media post by Tiffin police, law enforcement from multiple local and state agencies, as well as the FBI Crimes Against Children Task Force, executed a search warrant at a residence in the 700 block of S. Washington Street. This warrant came after a what police described as an “extensive covert online investigation”.
Police said their investigation uncovered the alleged sharing of child sexual exploitation material, which they said were shared through BitTorrent.
The investigation led police to arrest 46-year-old Mick J. Okonski, whom police claimed admitted to downloading and sharing child sexual abuse material.
