Former President Donald Trump and podcast host Patrick Bet-David did an ostensibly comical riff attacking Vice President Kamala Harris over her race, centered on referring to her as “apparently Black.”
In July, Trump falsely claimed Harris once identified exclusively as “Indian-Americian” until “all of a sudden she made a turn and she became a Black person.”
Trump and his allies have continued to press this false attack, while the VP blew off questions about the attack in an interview with CNN.
On Thursday’s edition of the eponymous Patrick Bet-David-hosted PBD Podcast, the host took Trump on a tangent as he brought up Trump’s support among young Black men.
He referred to Harris as “apparently Black,” and Trump feigned bemusement and laughingly asked him to explain:
