SPOKANE, Wash. — Underhill Park in Spokane’s East Central neighborhood is reopened after nearly 3 months of construction.
The park closed in mid-August for court construction and now boasts brand-new basketball and pickleball courts and an overall facelift including features like:
The renovations will support the local community’s access to outdoor recreation, including an annual summer basketball camp.
The total budget for the court renovation is $628,000. The project is funded by City of Spokane Parks & Recreation and through a grant from the Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office.
Dick’s Sporting Goods, No-Li Brewhouse and the Spokane Hoopfest Association are also supporting the renovation and Cameron Reilly, LLC is the contractor.
