UPS have responded to a customer claiming the company held her packages “hostage” and forced them to pay more for home delivery.
The outraged shopper took to social media claiming that one of the deliveries being held “hostage” was a food order containing meat.
The X user accused UPS of making them “pay extra” on top of their delivery after their access point for pick-up was made unavailable.
On the screenshot the shopper provided, it says that the ‘change of delivery’ options include picking up at a UPS location for $5.99, delivering to another address for $14.99 and changing the delivery date for $9.99.
And it’s shown at the ‘leave with neighbor’, ‘return to sender’ and ‘redeliver to my address’ options were unavailable.
