Wednesday was the final night of Hanukkah.This year’s celebration came at a difficult time for many in the Jewish community, as reports of anti-semitism have climbed in recent months as the war overseas continues. Rachel Feldman is the community organizer of Shalom Alliance, a non-profit that promotes education within the Jewish community. She says as the Israel-Hamas war drags on, it is crucial for folks to keep checking in on one another. “We want to have people focus on the impact that discussion of the war is having on Jewish Vermonters,” said Feldman. “That is the real thing that we can influence through our actions as neighbors.
