One person died and seven more were injured Wednesday after a Tesla Cybertruck explosion in front of President-elect Donald Trump‘s Las Vegas Hotel, which was captured on video and shared on social media.
Newsweek reached out to the Trump International Hotel, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, and Tesla via email for comment Wednesday afternoon.

Tesla, a car manufacturer headed by tech billionaire Elon Musk, came out with the Cybertruck in November 2023. A series of recalls and production issues marred the Cybertruck’s first year of production. Tesla issued six recalls in the truck’s first year, ranging from faulty drive inverters to delayed rearview camera images.
