In the wake of a deadly Bourbon Street attack that left at least 10 dead and more than 35 injured on New Year’s Day, graphic videos provided to news outlets and posted on social media show how the chaotic scene unfolded.
Critical moments of the attack were captured on video as the suspect, identified by law enforcement sources as 42-year-old Shamsud-Din Jabbar, plowed a white pickup truck through the 200 block of Bourbon Street about 3:15 a.m., according to authorities.
The man eventually crashed into a boom lift on Bourbon and shot two police officers before he was gunned down by law enforcement, officials say.
Here’s what bystander videos posted on social media show happened before and after the attack.
