Viral Pygmy Hippo Moo Deng Gets Official Song Released in 4 Languages [Video]

The internet’s obsession with adorable baby pygmy hippopotamus Moo Deng continues. 

The cute animal skyrocketed to fame in September after videos of her at the Khao Kheow Open Zoo in Chonburi Province, Thailand, spread on social media. She is now the subject of a new song titled “Moodeng Moodeng.” The upbeat track is available in four different languages: Thai, English, Chinese, and Japanese.

The catchy 50-second song — released by Thailand music company GMM Music — features lyrics such as, ‘Moo Deng Moo Deng, boing boing boing/ Mommy mommy, play with me,” referencing the bouncy baby animal’s mom, Jona.

“Please, mommy, come play with me / Bounce with me, mom,” the lyrics add.

The accompanying music video shows the hippo, now four months old, bouncing along to the words as the lyrics play beside her.
