JOE ROOT left cricket fans in hysterics during day one of England’s Second Test against Pakistan.
Root, 33, made headlines in the First Test as he surpassed Sir Alastair Cook to become England’s all-time leading Test run scorer.
The Yorkshireman is unequivocally one of the country’s greatest ever players and was showered with praise following the achievement.
At the beginning of the Second Test he turned his hand to bowling – delivering six overs on the opening day.
But it was a moment with fellow England bowler Jack Leach which left viewers in stitches.
Root had his team-mate bend down as he worked on the condition of the ball on Leach’s bald head.
