WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) – The Wausau Fire Department is offering an apprenticeship program to become a fire fighter or paramedic.
The department says those participating will start making a livable wage with full time benefits. There is also a $10,000 early engagement benefit and $5,000 tuition reimbursement for the paramedic training.
Those in the 12 month paramedic program will complete their training and earn certification. Any licensed paramedics interested are able to skip straight to training.
