Wendys spicy ornament proves everyone loves to get roasted [Video]

Apparently not all Christmas ornaments are jolly.

That was evidenced by the fast-food chain Wendy’s new campaign featuring its spicy chicken sandwich — in ornament form. 

Wendy’s launched the campaign Tuesday and offered people the chance to buy one of the ornaments. The chain, which worked with VML on the campaign, announced later that day that they had sold out. The team has confirmed the ornament sold out in 15 minutes.

A one-minute commercial features a narrator offering a warm holiday rhyme and a child excitedly opening a box with the ornament. He then places it on a Christmas tree — only for the spicy chicken to begin insulting the kid and his parents. 

On Instagram, the brand shared the video alongside the text, “Tis’ the season…to get roasted.”
