In a near-unanimous 19-1 vote, the Oxford Hills School Board has voted not to spend up to $6 million to repair the Agnes Gray Elementary School in West Paris.The school has been vacant since February after Oxford Hills School District officials deemed the building uninhabitable and posed a safety risk to students and staff.Superintendent Heather Manchester said she received a report from Lavallee Brensinger Architects, which cited several failures and concerns. The architectural group found the school is not ADA-compliant and not accessible. The group also cited severe plumbing issues, HVAC failures and several other concerns. The Agnes Gray Elementary School was built in 1897 and has had only a few renovations done to it since its inception.The school’s 120 elementary students have been attending Paris Elementary School and the Guy E.
