Nick Kyrgios‘ return to elite tennis is imminent, but it has been a lengthy journey to reach this point.
The Australian has spent limited time on the court in the past few years amid a torrid injury run.
He hasn’t played a professional tennis match since June 2023, having struggled with wrist, knee and foot problems.
However, Kyrgios has since confirmed he will ramp up his tennis comeback in December when he features at a World Tennis League event in Abu Dhabi.

In an interview on The Louis Theroux Podcast, which was conducted in July, the 29-year-old explained why he does not want to rush his return.
“I wouldn’t say I’m inactive now,” Kyrgios said.
“I could come back now and beat 50 per cent of players.
“But I don’t want to do that … because my fans deserve a better version of myself, that I …
