Want Windows 11 in your VR headset? It’ll soon be possible through an official Microsoft-Meta partnership. It’ll be available as a public preview for the Meta Quest 3 and 3S mixed reality headsets starting next month, Redmond announced today at its Ignite conference.
Microsoft has yet to provide full details, but the capability will let Meta Quest users stream the Windows 11 experience from their local PC or the cloud-based Windows 365 service.
“Access to your local Windows PC or Windows 365 Cloud PC from a Quest headset is seamless, and it takes only seconds to connect to a private, high-quality, large, multiple-monitor workstation,” the company said in a blog post.
