Wrestling: Major change to stream WWE PLEs come 2025 [Video]

• The WWE Network is shutting down worldwide on 1st January 2025 as WWE content moves to Netflix.
• In a hodge-podge of streaming rights and deals, South Africans will continue getting WWE content exclusively through MultiChoice and SuperSport.
• All WWE PLEs are set to start streaming on Netflix come January 2025.

Entertainment powerhouse WWE has announced that as of 1st January 2025, its WWE Network streaming website will finally, officially shut down and for good as all subsequent major monthly shows – premium live events (PLEs), formerly pay-per-views (PPVs), will be streamed live exclusively on Netflix.

At the beginning of the year, both companies announced a $5 billion streaming exclusivity deal for WWE weekly series like Monday Night RAW, SmackDown and its yearly big events like WrestleMania would be streamed on Netflix. The deal was signed for 10 years.
