Zendaya gave a playful response when asked about her engagement to Tom Holland.

The evening before PEOPLE confirmed the Spider-Man costars’ engagement, the Challengers star was spotted at the 2025 Golden Globes with a diamond ring on her left-hand ring finger and a “T” tattoo, causing speculation about a possible engagement.

Instead of directly addressing the engagement buzz that night on Sunday, Jan. 5, Zendaya — who was nominated for best performance by a female actor in a motion picture musical or comedy — gave a coy response to a reporter.

“As Zendaya exited the ballroom, a recently engaged Times reporter held up her left ring finger and pointed at it. The actor responded by flashing her own bling on her left hand, doing a sort of jazz-fingers motion,” according to the Los Angeles Times.
